Nordex Group Secures 638 MW in Orders from Türkiye in Q4 2024
Hamburg, 14 January 2025. Nordex Group announced receiving substantial orders from Türkiye in the fourth quarter of 2024. The orders, totaling 638 MW, comprised 97 turbines and included service contracts extending over several years. The majority of these orders were placed at the end of December.
With these new contracts, Nordex surpassed 1 GW in order intake in Türkiye for 2024. The country aims to significantly expand its wind and solar energy capacity to 120,000 MW by 2035. This expansion is driven by expected increases in electricity consumption and a shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.
Nordex has maintained its position as a market leader in Türkiye since 2017, holding over 30% market share in the region.
