Nordex Group Secures 94 MW Wind Project Order in Canada
On March 17, 2025, the Nordex Group announced a significant order for the supply and installation of 16 N163/5.X turbines in Nova Scotia, Canada. The project, amounting to 94 MW, includes a 25-year service agreement for these turbines. The installation is set to begin in mid-2026.
The turbines, each offering a nominal output of 5.9 MW, will be installed on 125-meter-high tubular steel towers. They will also feature the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System, which enhances turbine availability during the cold Canadian winters by minimizing ice-related downtimes.
Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex Group's North America division, highlighted the company's commitment to expanding its presence in Canada. The identity of the customer and wind farm remains undisclosed.
