Nordex Group Secures Major Orders from wpd in Germany
Hamburg, 7 October 2025. Nordex Group has received significant orders from wpd, a leading global developer and operator of wind and solar farms, amounting to nearly 126 MW. This order involves the supply of 21 turbines for six projects across various regions in Germany. A notable feature of this agreement is a premium service for maintaining the turbines for 15 years.
The contract includes six N163/6.X turbines, eleven N149/5.X turbines, two N163/5.X turbines, and two N133/4.8 turbines. These will be delivered to Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Saxony-Anhalt. Deliveries are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
Karsten Brüggemann, VP of Nordex, emphasized the long-standing and successful partnership with wpd. These new orders reflect continued trust in Nordex's technology and team, bolstering wind energy projects in Europe.
