Nordex Group Secures Major Orders from wpd in Germany
The Nordex Group has received significant orders from wpd, a long-term client, for nine projects across Germany totaling nearly 280 MW in capacity. This marks another milestone in their enduring collaboration. The agreement includes a 15-year Premium Service contract for turbine maintenance.
The order comprises 36 N163/6.X turbines and four N175/6.X turbines for wind farms in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, and Lower Saxony. These hybrid towers feature varying hub heights of up to 179 meters and are expected to operate mainly in the 7 MW mode. Installation is planned for 2027.
This commitment from wpd follows a previous order of nearly 126 MW in September 2025, showcasing confidence in Nordex's technological capabilities.
