Nordex Group Secures Major Wind Energy Contracts in Türkiye
The Nordex Group has formally signed contracts with Enerjisa Üretim for the construction of two major wind farms in Türkiye, during the WindEurope Annual Event in Copenhagen. These projects, Edirne and Balkaya, will have a combined capacity of 750 MW. Enerjisa Üretim, a venture between E.ON and Sabanci Holding, has been a significant player in Türkiye's wind energy sector.
Enerjisa's success in the YEKA WPP-2024 auction highlights its commitment to renewable energy, securing over half of the auction's 1.2 GW available capacity. The Edirne and Balkaya projects will feature 108 Nordex N163/6.X turbines, supporting local production in line with YEKA's localization policies.
Nordex continues its expansion in Türkiye, reinforcing its market presence with local production that aids job creation. The partnership with Enerjisa aims to bolster Türkiye's status as a renewable energy hub, promoting a sustainable energy future.
