Nordex Secures 77 MW Wind Farm Order in Romania
The Nordex Group has announced a new contract with OX2 for a wind energy project in Romania. This agreement involves supplying and installing 11 N175/6.X turbines at the Urleasca wind farm, with a total capacity of 77 MW. The contract also includes a 35-year Premium Service agreement.
In conjunction with this, OX2 has sold the ready-to-build Urleasca wind farm to Scatec ASA. OX2 will manage the entire construction phase, set to start in Q3 2026, with project commissioning slated for the latter part of 2028. The site benefits from a Contract-for-Difference (CfD) with Romania.
The project enhances Nordex's footprint in Romania, securing over 500 MW in contracts recently. The wind farm will be situated near Urleasca village, approximately 150 kilometers from Bucharest.
