Nota AI Expands AI Traffic Solutions to Nairobi, Kenya

Nota AI has signed a contract to bring its Smart Intersection System to Nairobi, Kenya. This project is a part of the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) initiative led by the Kenya Urban Roads Authority and LG CNS, with HANIL STM handling system design. Nota AI's technology, which reduces the complexity and memory usage of AI models, will optimize traffic management in an edge environment.

By compressing the AI models, Nota AI enhances traffic flow analysis at intersections without needing a central server. This allows for real-time vehicle classification and traffic data analysis, improving efficiency and reducing costs. The technology has already proven successful in the Middle East and North America, marking its first venture into the African market.

Nota AI's CEO, Myungsu Chae, expressed optimism for future global expansion following this successful deployment in Nairobi.
