NV Gold Initiates 2026 Drill Program at Slumber Gold Project
NV Gold Corporation has commenced its 2026 drill program at the Slumber Gold Project in Nevada, USA. The project, situated 60 miles northwest of Winnemucca, aims to connect two previously drilled target areas, Awakening and Slumber zones. John Watson, Chairman and CEO, highlights the potential of a large-scale oxide gold deposit in this sought-after region.
The program will entail up to 35 reverse circulation drill holes, covering 8,000 meters. It aims to explore near-surface oxide gold mineralization within a silicified zone spanning 2,750m by 500+m. Newly leased private land will be drilled for the first time, potentially enlarging the gold system if zones connect.
The program is fully financed with over $2.5 million in cash and aims to double previous drilling totals. It is scheduled to start on September 1st, with drills targeting depths over 300 meters.
