OHB Digital Connect Enhances Military Ground Stations
On June 25, 2026, OHB Digital Connect GmbH, a subsidiary of OHB SE, announced the successful completion of an upgrade of military ground stations for the Bundeswehr. This project involved the refurbishment of mobile ground stations with advanced satellite communications hardware as part of the SATCOMBw system, aimed at modernizing and returning them to active duty.
The project concluded with a ceremony at Eifelkaserne in Gerolstein, marking the handover of the final batch of four upgraded ground stations. This initiative highlights OHB Digital Connect's collaboration with MT Mechatronics, an antenna manufacturer now part of the OHB Group, enabling more integrated operations across various sites.
