OHB SE Names Dr. Luis Alejandro Orellano as New COO Amid Growth
OHB SE has appointed Dr. Luis Alejandro Orellano as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 1, 2026. His inclusion in the Executive Board comes as the company works to scale operations amid increasing demand in the European space market. OHB is placing emphasis on advancing leadership in large-scale programs and enhancing industrial value creation.
Marco Fuchs, CEO, believes Dr. Orellano’s skills will enrich the company, drawing lessons from other industries to aid in scaling and industrialization. Supervisory Board Chairman Robert Wethmar expressed confidence that Orellano's experience will bolster OHB’s growth trajectory.
Orellano's previous successes include roles at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems and Rohde & Schwarz, where he improved industrial performance and established sustainable growth models. Returning to his aerospace roots, he looks forward to contributing to OHB’s development.
