Eagle Football Group to see improved financial performance in 2023/2024
On 27 January 2025, Eagle Football Group announced a significant increase in its financial results for the 2023/2024 financial year. Total operating revenue increased by 25% to €361.4 million. Gross operating surplus increased to €44 million, while net income improved, although it remains negative at -€25.7 million.
Cash contributions totalling approximately €83 million were made by the group and its directors. At the same time, several player movements generated €62.3 million, reducing personnel costs by €5 million.
A new "waiver" agreement has been signed to redefine contractual commitments. The group is counting on future financing via sales and a potential IPO. However, the auditors have highlighted the uncertainty over the continuity of operations in the absence of these transactions.
