Mads Bidstrup transfers to Olympique Lyonnais

Olympique Lyonnais have officially announced the signing of Mads Bidstrup, a 25-year-old midfielder, from RB Salzburg. The contract, for five years, runs until June 30, 2031. The transfer fee is estimated at €10.5 million, with a potential €3 million in bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause.

Trained in Denmark, Bidstrup played for Brentford in England, then FC Nordsjælland, before joining RB Salzburg in 2023. There, he made 116 appearances and experienced the Champions League. His consistency and influence on the game earned him his first call-up to the Danish national team.

In Lyon, Bidstrup will be reunited with Noah Nartey, a fellow Danish player from the French U21 team. Enthusiastic, he aspires to become a leader for OL. He is the fifth Danish player to join the club.
