Nicolas Tagliafico extends with OL until 2027; acquisition of Matt Turner announced
On August 1, 2025, Olympique Lyonnais announced the contract extension of Nicolas Tagliafico until 2027. The Argentinian left-back, world champion in 2022, continues his Lyon career that began in 2022. With a career spanning over 550 matches, Tagliafico has played 102 matches for OL and scored 9 goals. Additionally, OL confirmed the acquisition of goalkeeper Matt Turner from Nottingham Forest for €8 million. Turner is on loan to the New England Revolution for one year with a €3 million purchase option. This strategy underscores OL's plan to combine experience with youth.
