Olympique Lyonnais Acquires Defender Mohamed Ouédraogo

Olympique Lyonnais has officially signed Burkina Faso international defender Mohamed Ouédraogo from SCR Altach. The contract extends for five seasons, concluding on June 30, 2031. The transfer involves a fee of €2.2 million, with potential bonuses reaching €0.6 million and a 10% sell-on clause on future capital gains.

Ouédraogo, initially groomed at Majestic SC in Burkina Faso, joined SCR Altach in 2023. Quickly transitioning from the youth team to the main squad, he has made significant strides, appearing in 35 matches, scoring 4 goals, and contributing 3 assists in the 2025/26 season.

At 23, Ouédraogo has gained recognition for his dual defensive and offensive skills, securing 9 caps for Burkina Faso. He is Olympique Lyonnais' fourth signing this summer, following Kaïl Boudache, Mads Bidstrup, and Julien Duranville.
