Olympique Lyonnais initiates legal proceedings following an internal investigation

On June 8, 2026, Eagle Football Group (EFG) announced the results of an internal investigation into suspicious transactions within Olympique Lyonnais (OL) from May 2023 to June 2025. The report, submitted in early June 2026, reveals disorganization and opaque financial management under the previous management, with dubious financial movements reaching several hundred million euros, aggravated by cash flow problems and delays in social security contributions.

In response to these findings, a criminal complaint was filed on June 4, 2026, against persons unknown with the Public Prosecutor in Lyon. The complaint alleges potential offenses of misuse of company assets, publication of fraudulent accounts, and dissemination of misleading information. EFG is continuing its investigations and may file further complaints.
