Tyler Morton joins Olympique Lyonnais until 2030

Olympique Lyonnais has announced the acquisition of midfielder Tyler Morton from Liverpool. The 23-year-old England U21 international has signed a five-year contract, which runs until June 30, 2030. The transfer is worth €10 million, with possible bonuses of up to €5 million and a 20% profit-sharing scheme on any potential capital gains.

Trained at Liverpool, Morton progressed through the youth teams and joined the first team under Jürgen Klopp. During his loan spells at Blackburn and Hull City, he made 46 and 41 appearances respectively. A European Under-21 champion, Morton played in five of his team's six matches at the Euros in Slovakia.

Morton becomes Lyon's fourth summer signing, joining Afonso Moreira, Ruben Kluivert and Pavel Šulc to strengthen the midfield.
