OMRON Healthcare Boosts Global Blood Pressure Awareness

OMRON Healthcare Co., Ltd. has announced its support for May Measurement Month 2026, an annual campaign aimed at improving hypertension awareness and screening worldwide. This initiative aligns with World Hypertension Day and involves a global donation of 3,000 blood pressure monitors, some of which are capable of detecting atrial fibrillation (AFib).

Hypertension remains the top risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, contributing to over 10 million deaths each year. Regular monitoring and effective management are crucial in reducing complications. Since 2017, May Measurement Month has screened more than 7 million individuals globally, helping to identify over 1 million untreated cases.

OMRON's contribution includes advanced devices that can screen for the often-undetected arrhythmia, AFib. This support continues OMRON's ongoing collaboration since the initiative's inception, having donated around 33,000 monitors across approximately 120 countries to date.
