Heirs of Greatness: ORUN's Cultural Initiative in Casablanca
ORUN, part of the African Currency Network, launches the inaugural Heirs of Greatness Day in Casablanca. This initiative aims to integrate cultural and creative industries (CCI) into Africa's development framework. The event showcased ORUN's methodological pillar, The Sovereign Code, which focuses on Memory, Structure, and Transmission, seeking to transform African cultural heritage into sustainable economic systems.
Highlighting craftsmanship, the event featured the seven Houses of Art: Weaving, Foundry, Crochet, Tannery, Dyeing, Ceramics, and Tailoring. These spaces brought together artisans and designers, promoting dialogue between traditional practices and modern creativity.
With the presence of various cultural figures, Heirs of Greatness Day marks an ambitious path for ORUN towards 2025-2030, aiming to strengthen cultural sectors and promote African talent globally.
