Ovivo Sells Electronics Division to Ecolab, Aims for New Growth
Ovivo Inc., a global provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, announced the completion of the sale of its Electronics division to Ecolab for approximately 2.4 billion Canadian dollars. With Ecolab being a leader in sustainable water solutions, the Electronics division is poised for expanded opportunities under its new ownership.
The move marks a pivotal chapter for Ovivo, as it shifts its focus to three main areas: Municipal/Industrial/PFAS, Energy, and the Cembrane SiC membrane divisions. This strategic redirection aims to accelerate growth through both organic and inorganic means.
Reinhard Huebner, CEO of SKion Water, emphasized that Ovivo will enhance its industrial footprint in North America and strengthen synergies within SKion's portfolio. The integration of corporate functions between SKion Water and Ovivo is planned to fully utilize in-house expertise.
