ParTec AG Joins DARE SGA1 Project to Boost Europe’s Digital Autonomy

ParTec AG has announced its strategic involvement in the Digital Autonomy with RISC-V in Europe, Special Grant Agreement 1 project (DARE SGA1). This ambitious initiative seeks to bolster Europe’s independence in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Supported by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the project includes 38 partners aiming to advance the next generation of European processors and systems.

ParTec AG plays a central role in the project’s technical areas of "Integration and Prototyping" and "Shared Applications and Software." The company is designing a prototype system incorporating RISC-V-based components and developing a digital twin with IMEC to predict the performance and energy efficiency of the new systems.

CEO Bernhard Frohwitter expressed that being part of the DARE SGA1 project confirms ParTec AG’s expertise and industry standing, noting the project’s potential to lay the groundwork for future RISC-V systems.
