Green Tea Group Debuts on Hong Kong Stock Exchange
On May 16, 2025, Green Tea Group Limited, a leading casual dining brand in China, commenced trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The IPO involved 168,364,000 shares, priced at HKD 7.19 each, with Partners Group retaining a 15.76% stake in the company.
Founded in 2008 in Hangzhou, Green Tea has expanded significantly, now operating over 490 outlets in 140 cities. It employs more than 12,500 individuals and serves approximately 68 million customers annually. Under Partners Group's ownership since 2017, Green Tea's restaurant count has increased eight-fold.
The funds from the IPO will support further expansion, enhance Green Tea's food processing capabilities, and upgrade its IT systems. Green Tea aims to capitalize on growth opportunities in China, driven by rising disposable incomes and demand for value-for-money dining.
