A Decade of Academic Exchange: PKU's South-South Institute Marks 10 Years

Peking University's Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development (ISSCAD) has celebrated its 10th anniversary. The institute, established in 2016, focuses on the development experiences of China and other countries in the Global South. Its unique approach has attracted students like Ismail Zabeeh from the Maldives, and Eric Dodoo-Amoo from Ghana. Both alumni recently attended the anniversary forum in Beijing, which emphasized sustainable development in developing nations.

ISSCAD, under the leadership of honorary dean Justin Yifu Lin, aims to systematically study the development patterns of these regions. The institute has grown as a platform for talent development and policy research, deeply impacting nations like Zimbabwe through its educational programs.

The anniversary event highlighted ISSCAD's commitment to fostering international exchange. As it enters its second decade, the institute aspires to expand its global recognition in academic innovation.
