Primary Hydrogen Discovers Anomalous Hydrogen Levels in Newfoundland and Labrador
Primary Hydrogen Corp. announced promising results from its Phase 1 field program at Point Rosie and Mary's Harbour in Newfoundland and Labrador. Soil gas sampling revealed anomalous hydrogen values, with readings up to 531 ppm at Point Rosie and 665 ppm at Mary's Harbour. These findings suggest potential hydrogen migration pathways from subsurface sources, particularly along fault structures.
The exploration focused on faults that may act as conduits for hydrogen, which originate from deep crustal or mantle sources. The results will direct future exploration efforts, aiming to validate hydrogen accumulations and refine geological understanding of these areas.
Point Rosie exhibited elevated hydrogen concentrations along a northeast-trending fault. In contrast, Mary's Harbour showed high hydrogen values unrelated to specific structures, warranting further investigation. The company plans additional surveys to confirm and expand upon these preliminary findings.
