Quadient innovates with autonomous solar instructions

Quadient recently announced the launch of its pilot program for the X Series, a solar-powered autonomous parcel locker system, in the UK. This new technology aims to operate without CO₂ emissions, thanks to a combination of solar batteries and an outdoor-friendly design. The initiative will be showcased in Amsterdam at the Parcel+Post Expo.

The X Series lockers, which do not require electrical connection, are quick to install, offering increased flexibility for delivery services. They are designed to be robust, with integrated drop-off and label modules. Energy autonomy is ensured even in periods of low sunlight.

Quadient's Benoît Berson emphasizes that this innovation combines sustainability and practicality, reinforcing the company's climate goals. The lockers also include compartments suitable for small shipments, with remote monitoring to ensure reliable service.
