The Vanguard Group, Inc. has publicly disclosed its interests in Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited according to Form 8.3. This form is submitted under Rule 8.3 of the Takeover Code, which concerns entities holding interests in relevant securities representing 1% or more.
As of February 2, 2026, Vanguard holds 55,908,833 ordinary shares of Rio Tinto plc, accounting for 4.46% of the total. Additionally, it owns 25,315,612 ordinary shares of Rio Tinto Limited, representing 6.82% of the total.
Recent transactions include the purchase of 34,292 Rio Tinto plc ordinary shares at prices between 67.86 GBP and 68.02 GBP, alongside acquisitions of 20,101 Rio Tinto Limited ordinary shares at prices between 149.98 AUD and 151.70 AUD.
