Trexel and Roctool join forces to lighten plastic parts
Roctool, a specialist in rapid heating and cooling for plastics and composites, announced a strategic partnership with Trexel at Chinaplas 2026 in Shanghai. This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of injection molding by combining Roctool's Heat & Cool process with Trexel's MuCell® technology. This approach will enable the production of lighter parts without sacrificing quality or aesthetics.
The two companies will deploy demonstration platforms in Europe and Asia to facilitate the adoption of this innovative solution. This initiative marks an important step towards more economical and material-friendly manufacturing processes.
