Roma Embassy in The Hague Launches for Enhanced Diplomatic Ties

The Roma Intelligence & Administration Agency (RIAA) has formally established the United Roma Tribes Embassy in The Hague, focusing on cultural, social, economic, and humanitarian cooperation. This marks another significant step following the Haarlem Proclamation towards the development of the Sovereign Non-Territorial Roma State.

The Embassy aims to promote understanding and counter stereotypes while preserving Roma identity as intangible cultural heritage. Initiator Aleksandar Gavrilovic emphasizes the symbolic state aspect, focusing on dialogue and connection without political claims. The establishment highlights the Netherlands as a supportive base for this international endeavor.

Young Roma leader Esmeralda Hrustic chairs the Embassy, reflecting the empowerment of women and youth in its leadership. As diplomatic relations and partnerships grow, the Roma-ship initiative aims to affirm cultural heritage and support stateless individuals within national systems.
