Samfara Acquires Danish API Manufacturer Chr. Olesen Synthesis
Samfara LLP, a life sciences investment firm, has completed its acquisition of Chr. Olesen Synthesis, a Danish manufacturer of controlled-substance APIs. The transaction marks Samfara's first investment, supported by a consortium of European and North American investors.
Chr. Olesen Synthesis, based near Copenhagen, specializes in pharmaceutical ingredients used to treat opioid use disorder and ADHD. The company operates a cGMP-certified plant serving clients in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
With Samfara's support, the company plans to enhance its market presence, focusing on organic growth and potential acquisitions. Jean-François Hilaire will join the board as Chair to guide this expansion.
Thomas Moestrup, Chr. Olesen’s CEO, expressed optimism about the partnership, while Mads C. Olesen, former Chief Executive, conveyed confidence in the new direction.
