Mid-Year Achievements and Future Outlook for Sintana Energy

Toronto-based Sintana Energy Inc., active in upstream oil and gas exploration, has issued a mid-year update for 2026. Over the past six months, the company has reported various achievements and strategic progress.

In Namibia, a major farm-in deal with TotalEnergies for PEL 83 includes a planned three-well exploration. Concurrently, a 57% resource upgrade was noted, increasing potential yield. For PEL 90 and PEL 82, significant exploration steps are planned with Chevron's involvement.

Key developments have also occurred in Uruguay, including the completion of the first 3D seismic season on AREA OFF-1. Additionally, a farm-out process for AREA OFF-3 continues to attract international interest.

Sintana also finalized its acquisition of Challenger Energy and reached a settlement with ExxonMobil concerning Colombian interests, enhancing its financial standing with a cash balance of $16.1 million.
