'CART BP' Successfully Monitors Blood Pressure in Microgravity

On December 4, 2025, Sky Labs announced the successful demonstration of its 'CART BP' device in a microgravity environment. The experiment was conducted by the University of Cambridge in collaboration with the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences (IIAS). The IIAS-02 mission leveraged parabolic flight to simulate a near-zero gravity condition. 'CART BP', a ring-shaped, cuffless device, continuously monitored blood pressure with reliability even under microgravity conditions.

This achievement underscores 'CART BP's potential for stable performance in space-like environments. The research supports broader women's health initiatives in space. Sky Labs' CEO, Jack Byunghwan Lee, highlighted the significance of the findings and indicated ongoing commitment to further technological advancements through diverse research initiatives. The project conducted in Canada also emphasized the device's user-friendly nature, earning praise from participating astronauts.
