SLOVAKIA TRAVEL: Embracing Winter with Cross-Country Skiing

SLOVAKIA TRAVEL has launched an initiative focusing on cross-country skiing, promoting it as more than just a sport, but a serene experience with nature. Slovakia offers a wide network of cross-country skiing trails, around 600 kilometers, catering to both recreational and professional skiers. The activity also plays a significant role in regional tourism development.

Central Slovakia is highlighted as a key destination, featuring over 240 kilometers of groomed trails. Noteworthy areas include the Kremnica Mountains and Donovaly, with the Skalka area near Kremnica being particularly famous for its trail quality. Additionally, Slovakia offers opportunities for ski mountaineering in areas like Tatranská Lomnica and the Liptov region.

SLOVAKIA TRAVEL aims to enhance the country's tourism through these activities, both domestically and internationally, showcasing Slovakia's natural landscapes and winter sports opportunities.
