Enapter Secures Pilot Project with US Drone Manufacturer
Enapter AG, a company specializing in AEM electrolysers, has received a pilot order valued at EUR 0.5 million from a US drone manufacturer. The order includes delivery of 4.1 series AEM electrolysers, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. This project aims to supply hydrogen for drones, offering prolonged flight and mission durations compared to battery-electric alternatives.
The hydrogen is produced onsite, using water and solar power without grid dependence, thus simplifying logistics. This innovation eliminates the need for complex hydrogen transport and storage, which is particularly beneficial for remote drone operations.
Dr. Jürgen Laakmann, CEO of Enapter, emphasized the potential of mobile refuelling solutions and the significant growth prospects in this area. The modular AEM technology, known for its compact footprint and scalability, is ideal for this new application field.
