Point72 Asset Management crosses the threshold of 5% of SOITEC voting rights
US-based Point72 Asset Management recently reached a significant milestone in SOITEC. In a letter dated September 16, 2025, it was announced that Point72 now holds 2,479,386 shares in SOITEC. This represents 6.93% of the company's capital and 5.42% of the voting rights. This acquisition also includes shares held by Cubist Systematic Strategies, LLC, a subsidiary of Point72.
This threshold crossing is the result of an increase in shareholdings through assimilation. Point72 uses renewable return swap contracts to increase its stake. This investment strategy is led by Steve Cohen, who controls Point72. As a reminder, SOITEC is listed on Euronext Paris.
