SouthGobi Resources Postpones Special Meeting and Record Date

SouthGobi Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:SGQ)(HK:1878) has announced a delay in its special shareholders meeting, initially set for August 27, 2026, in Vancouver. The postponement is necessitated due to extra time needed to finalize the Management Proxy Circular and related materials concerning the March 2026 Deferral Agreement.

Under this agreement, which requires approval from the TSX Venture Exchange and shareholders, the deadline for compliance is now extended to September 30, 2026. Another announcement will follow regarding the new date for the meeting and record date.

The executive team at SouthGobi includes Mr. Ruibin Xu as CEO, with a board comprising both executive and non-executive directors. SouthGobi operates its main coal mine, Ovoot Tolgoi, in Mongolia, focusing on serving the Chinese market.
