Steyr Motors Achieves C2 Emissions Certification in China

Steyr Motors AG, known for custom maritime engines, has secured C2 emissions certification in China. This achievement unlocks new market opportunities in the world's foremost shipbuilding market, estimated at EUR 5 billion annually. Securing this certification positions Steyr Motors ideally to enhance its international reach and capitalize on at least EUR 100 million in additional orders by 2030.

The C2 certification aligns with China's environmental mandates focusing on reducing maritime emissions. CEO Julian Cassutti emphasises the strategic importance of this certification, which underscores their technical and environmental commitment. The company plans to leverage this certification to expand market penetration significantly.

Steyr Motors is poised to access a variety of customers, from commercial fleets to private usage, with a yearly market potential of 40,000 engines. This effort supports broader company goals, including a projected revenue of EUR 140 million by 2027.
