Walmart Mexico continues its modernization with Vusion

Walmart Mexico is expanding its partnership with Vusion to integrate the EdgeSense platform into its stores. This advanced technology will be rolled out to all Walmart Express locations by 2026 and will also be available in Supercenters. EdgeSense combines artificial intelligence, electronic shelf labels, and real-time data. The goal is to create connected stores, facilitating automation and enhancing the customer experience.

This project marks a first in Latin America, positioning Walmart Mexico as a pioneer of regional innovation. More than 1.7 million tags and 180,000 smart rails will be installed in Walmart Express stores. A pilot project is also planned for Bodega stores. This collaboration reflects Walmart's commitment to strategic digitalization and supports the evolution of physical retail toward smarter environments.
