STRABAG SE Terminates VAMED Purchase Agreement, Continues AKH Negotiations

STRABAG SE has terminated the purchase agreement for parts of the VAMED Group. The joint agreement, initially involving STRABAG and PORR, was set to acquire key segments of the VAMED Group, including VAMED-KMB Krankenhausmanagement und Betriebsführungsges.m.b.H. (VKMB) and VAMED Standortentwicklung und Engineering GmbH (VSG), along with spa holdings in Austria. However, implementation issues forced the termination.

Despite this, STRABAG continues negotiations to acquire VKMB, which manages facilities at Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien). Discussions are ongoing with VIACAMA AG and the Vienna Healthcare Association. The acquisition remains contingent on further due diligence and regulatory approval by competition authorities.
