Sun Peak Metals Initiates New Drilling Phase at Safra VMS Project
Sun Peak Metals Corp. has announced the commencement of a 3,000-meter diamond drill program with two rigs at its Safra VMS Project in Saudi Arabia. This program aims to extend the mineralization zones of copper, zinc, gold, and silver identified during the company's initial campaign in May 2026.
The first phase highlighted promising intersections at Safra Main, including a 39-meter stretch containing 1.38% copper and 0.84% zinc. The new drilling will explore extensions at Safra Main, Safra East, and the untested gravity anomaly at Safra North. Recent IP and TDEM surveys have identified chargeability anomalies, enhancing the targeting accuracy.
Post-Safra, Sun Peak plans a maiden drill campaign at the Al Miyah Project. Exploration activities remain unaffected by regional conflicts, with safety being the company's priority. The company is well-funded, boasting over C$12 million for future exploration efforts.
