Record Order Book Elevates SUSS MicroTec's Outlook for 2027
SUSS MicroTec records a remarkable order book of €473.7 million, with €220 million set for 2027, underscoring strong future visibility. The first half of 2026 showcases an order intake surge to €410.0 million, fueled by robust demand for advanced semiconductor packaging solutions. Concurrently, sales reached €202.8 million, with marked improvements in profitability, as the EBIT margin rose to 9.0% in the second quarter.
The Garching-based firm benefited from a significant €115 million order from an OSAT customer, cementing its strong foothold in the AI chip module market. Sales increased sequentially, with the second quarter hitting €116.2 million. This upturn pushed the gross profit margin to 38.0%. Free cash flow also swung to a positive €16.4 million, boosting cash reserves by 13.8% to €112.3 million.
SUSS maintains its full-year 2026 guidance, reflecting resilience against geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges. Despite a decrease in year-on-year sales, the future looks promising with new product launches slated to enhance market position.
