Swiss Re and RIQ Unite to Enhance Risk Transfer with AI

Swiss Re and Reinsurance Intelligence Quotient (RIQ) have embarked on a strategic collaboration to develop innovative capacity solutions leveraging data and AI. This initiative aims to enhance risk origination and build AI-native capabilities, particularly in the UAE. The partnership underscores Swiss Re's commitment to positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for reinsurance and financial innovation.

RIQ, launched in June 2025 by IHC in collaboration with BlackRock and Lunate, focuses on integrating AI into reinsurance to improve accuracy and capacity deployment. The collaboration between Swiss Re and RIQ will explore long-term cooperation to develop AI-enabled infrastructure and tailored reinsurance solutions.

Swiss Re CEO Andreas Berger emphasized the combination of their expertise with RIQ's vision to support clients through new risk-transfer instruments, while RIQ CEO Mark Wilson highlighted the goal of accelerating AI-native infrastructure development.
