Technip Energies secures key contract for the Coral Norte project in Mozambique

On February 24, 2026, Technip Energies, in collaboration with JGC and Samsung Heavy Industries, was awarded a major contract by Mozambique Rovuma Venture for the Coral Norte floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project. This project, located off the coast of Mozambique, represents the deployment of a second FLNG facility in the country, following the success of Coral Sul.

Coral Norte, designed as an improved replica of Coral Sul, aims to offer optimized LNG production. The hull was launched in January 2026 in Geoje, South Korea. This development builds on past experience and offers increased efficiency and predictability.

Loïc Chapuis, President of Technip Energies, emphasizes that this contract confirms the company's expertise in engineering and strengthens its partnership with Eni.
