Temas and SAGA Advance RCL to Stage 2 for Metallurgical Optimization

Temas Resources Corp. has announced the progression of its collaboration with SAGA Metals to Stage 2 of its Regenerative Chloride Leach (RCL) technology testing. This phase aims to optimize operating conditions and develop process design criteria. Stage 1 successfully highlighted the potential of the RCL technology, achieving high recoveries of titanium, vanadium, and iron from SAGA's feed materials.

Stage 2 will focus on detailed bench-scale optimization. This involves testing and refining leaching conditions to enhance extraction efficiency. The eight-week program will analyze various parameters, including reagent consumption and solution quality. The ultimate goal is to generate samples of high-purity metals and prepare for future pilot testing.

Both companies aim to solidify the technical foundations for a more integrated development path, with potential product samples to assist in further economic evaluation. Benefiting from its proximity to a deep-water port in Labrador, the project is strategically positioned for downstream product development.
