Hoftex Group AG Announces Closure of Hoftex Färberei GmbH and Revenue Forecast Adjustment

In a strategic move, Hoftex Group AG has decided to close its Hoftex Färberei GmbH facility located in Selbitz, Germany. The closure will affect approximately 32 employees and is expected to be completed in 2026. This decision comes amid a challenging landscape for the German and European textile industries, which face declining demand, price pressures, and rising costs, affecting the entire group's performance. The shutdown signifies the end of the HOFTEX division, which has reported negative results for some time.

The closure comes with consequential financial impacts, including social plan costs, material discounts, follow-up costs, and machinery and real estate disposal, negatively affecting operating results. Consequently, Hoftex has revised its 2025 financial forecasts. The company now expects its consolidated EBITDA to range between EUR 5.5 million and EUR 7.5 million, down from the previous forecast of EUR 8.0 to 10.0 million. The revenue forecast has also been adjusted to EUR 135.0 million to EUR 145.0 million.
