Thailand Showcases Creative Industry at Cannes 2026

At the Cannes Film Festival, Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) showcased the country's entertainment and creative industry strength with "Thai Night Cannes 2026." Under the theme "Reimagining Thailand," the event highlighted Thailand's aspirations to evolve from a filming destination to a global creative content partner.

Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya attended, signaling Thailand's growing role in global cinema. The event featured diverse content, from drama to animation, with 15 Thai companies participating. Thailand's creative potential was emphasized by Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, who talked about opportunities for global collaborations.

An impressive highlight was the presentation of "Confessions of a Shaman," indicating the international appeal of Thai cinema. Thailand's rebate incentives and skilled crews continue to attract foreign investment and production.
