Thailand's SUBCON Expo Generates $705 Million in Parts Trade

Attracting over 50,000 participants, SUBCON Thailand 2026 concluded with an impressive $705.5 million in parts trade. Held in Bangkok from May 13-16, the expo facilitated 9,600 business matchings, strengthening Southeast Asia's industrial partnerships. Co-organized by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the expo underscores Thailand's strategic efforts to anchor itself in global supply chains.

Prominent figures highlighted the expo's role in connecting Thai entrepreneurs to international markets. Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi of the BOI emphasized developing SUBCON as a platform to elevate Thai industrial presence, particularly in AI, semiconductors, and automation. Mr. Paulino Mendoza from BMW Thailand and Ms. Waranchalee Suwanpimolkul of S.K. Polymer underscored the event's significance in fostering business opportunities and proving Thai manufacturers' quality.

The BOI aims to expand SUBCON's scope, particularly in AI and modern vehicles, to solidify Thailand's position in the international industrial landscape.
