Thales Sees Sharp Increase in Q1 2026 Order Intake and Sales
Thales reported a strong start to 2026 with an order intake of €4.7 billion, marking a 23% rise from the previous year. This increase is largely organic at 27%. Sales grew by 7.2% to reach €5.3 billion, and confirmed all its financial targets for the year. The Defence segment led growth with a remarkable 75% organic increase in orders, driven by several large contracts.
The company’s Aerospace segment experienced steady order intake, while Cyber & Digital faced a slight decline in non-organic terms. Sales in mature markets rose by a robust 9.7%, supported by strong performance in Europe. Emerging markets showed a 9.8% growth, with significant gains in the Middle East.
Thales continues to leverage its broad portfolio to meet civil and military demands, underscoring its relevance amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties. Adjusted EBIT margin is expected between 12.6% and 12.8% for 2026.
