2026 Global Energy Prize Finalists Announced
The Global Energy Association has unveiled the shortlist for the 2026 Global Energy Prize. This recognition is one of the leading awards in energy science, honoring 15 scientists from nine different countries, including Chile, China, and the United States.
The selection process involved a rigorous first stage, where representatives from 30 countries participated, culminating in this final list of nominees divided into three categories: "Traditional Energy," "Non-Traditional Energy," and "New Ways of Energy Application."
Nobel laureate Rae Kwon Chung, chairing the international committee, emphasized the significant contributions these projects could make to global energy development. The final recipients will be chosen by this committee at the last stage of the nomination cycle.
Among the distinguished nominees is Yilu Liu from the U.S. and Amit Goyal, also from the U.S., leading efforts in energy education. The list highlights diverse fields from electrical engineering to chemical engineering.
