The Platform Group AG Acquires We Connect Work

The Platform Group AG has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in We Connect Work GmbH. Founded in 2022, We Connect Work operates a platform for the industrial and construction sectors, focusing on B2B customers across Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe. The company's expertise lies in electrical, plumbing, heating, drywall construction, and welding technology. The acquisition aims to expand the existing platform and develop a B2B platform for building materials and related products by 2026.

The current management will retain a minority stake, ensuring continuity. Dr. Dominik Benner, CEO of The Platform Group AG, highlighted the growth potential in the construction industry through B2B platforms. Meanwhile, Dirk Wiedenhues, Managing Director of We Connect Work, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with TPG to extend the platform's reach and product offerings.
