Saudi Tourism Authority Expands Global Partnerships at WTM 2025

At the World Travel Market 2025, the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) announced significant strides in global tourism partnerships. The STA secured nine new MoUs/agreements and facilitated 27 additional agreements between Saudi and global tourism entities. They held over 500 strategic meetings, highlighting Saudi's commitment to being a leading tourism destination.

The event showcased Saudi Arabia's impressive visitor numbers, with nearly 116 million tourists in 2024 and 60 million in the first half of 2025. The "Saudi Land" pavilion drew attention with its cultural exhibitions and upcoming global events like Formula 1 and WWE Royal Rumble.

The DMO Awards recognized excellence in destination management, with awards for authenticity and operational excellence awarded to Diriyah and Qiddiya, respectively. Looking forward, Saudi Arabia is poised to host the TOURISE platform in Riyadh, focusing on sustainable and inclusive tourism strategies.
