Eiffel Tower Company: fundraising of 598.8 million euros
Société de la Tour Eiffel raised €598.8 million through a capital increase, mainly subscribed by the SMABTP group. This operation took place from December 23, 2024 to January 10, 2025.
The SMABTP group, already the majority shareholder, has strengthened its position by subscribing to the majority of the new shares issued. Following the capital increase, the group holds approximately 93.8% of the company's capital.
The funds raised will be used to repay significant debts and seize market opportunities. However, the takeover by SMABTP could result in the company losing its SIIC status.
The listing of the new shares on Euronext Paris is scheduled for January 17, 2025.
